Prime Minister Viktor Orbán submitted to the parliament his bill on the list of ministries of Hungary, which reveals several ministerial innovations.

According to the bill submitted to the parliament, the Ministry of Technology and Industry will be abolished, and as of December 1, the Ministry of Energy will be established under the leadership of Csaba Lantos, president of MET Holding AG. Furthermore, from January 1, the independent Ministry of Economic Development will separate from the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office, where Márton Nagy will sit in the velvet chair. The Ministry of Construction and Investment continues its work under the name of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation with János Lázár at the helm.

The sanctions policy introduced as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war threatens significant disadvantages both in the field of energy affairs and the economy. In order to counterbalance the dangers, it is justified that an independent ministry should be responsible for both areas in the governmental task-sharing structure, the Prime Minister justified the changes.
