The new national consultation has started, which has practically become a proven habit on the part of the government. Its essence remains to create points of agreement between the leadership and the population and to obtain the civil support necessary for the government's future measures. Despite all this, there is still a lot of criticism of the initiative, the details of which were discussed by constitutional lawyer Zoltán Lomnici Jr., legal expert of Századvég, in Kossuth Rádió's Good Morning, Hungary program.

During the left-liberal governments, the concealment of socio-political and economic processes was the order of the day. The current government, on the other hand, considers the opinion of the population to be important. According to Zoltán Lomnici Jr., governance has not been more transparent than it is now after the regime change, as we can see that between two elections he openly discusses government measures with the citizens.

"The leadership spreads its cards to the citizens. It is in the interest of the population to be able to choose the directions of Hungary in the most important national issues, thanks to which the legislative decision is made by thinking together with the citizens. In the Union, the citizens' initiative has completely failed, it practically does not exist," said the constitutional lawyer.

According to the expert, the knowledge spectrum of the Hungarian people is constantly expanding, which is why the government feels that it is necessary to discuss economic issues with the citizens, such as the sja refund, the loan moratorium and the introduction of the 200,000 mini-ball salary, which are the main topic of the current consultation. According to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the migration quota will also be on the agenda again during the deliberations.

Századvég's legal expert said:

The Prime Minister stated that during the epidemic, not only illegal immigrants should not be allowed in, but also anyone with a migration status, since the number of people infected with COVID among asylum seekers is very high.
