Ágnes Vadai wants to ensure that the perpetrators of pedophile crimes can also be punished in churches. However, it does all this despite the fact that the laws currently apply to everyone, regardless of occupation.

Yesterday, Ferenc Gyurcsány's eternal favorite, Ágnes Vadai, announced in front of the Saint Stephen's Basilica that her party would like "the Catholic bishops' conference to reveal and make public the cases of pedophiles within the church". To this end, a bill is also submitted to the parliament.

The DK would punish not only the perpetrators, but also those who conceal the case that comes to their knowledge, in addition to the family members.

The left-wing parties started provocation even during the discussion of the law. Even then, their attacks were clearly aimed at the churches. Máté Kocsis emphasized even then that the laws will apply to everyone - he specifically emphasized that it should be clear to the DK amazon that it also applies to priests.

But the Democratic Coalition failed to understand, so they went on the attack again. It really hurts them that the anti-pedophile law was voted on this week....

888.hu contacted several churches operating in Hungary to find out how the church and the Christian religion relate to pedophilia and the criminals who commit it. He also asked questions about the new pedophile law.

The Hungarian Catholic Bishops' Conference (MKPK) also answered them. They wrote that he considers it unacceptable everywhere, especially in the Church, and that he will use all possible means against the abuse of minors and sexual abuse committed against them."

They added that the MKPK is committed to following the child and youth protection regulations and legislation created according to the Holy Father's intention, so since last fall, the child and youth protection service has been available in all dioceses - also through their websites.

Also, in a statement, they warned that the interests of society are not served by "statements that suggest a connection between ecclesiastical vocation and a tendency to abuse."

We have deep compassion for all those who have suffered harm as children. We pray for the peace of mind of the victims of such acts, for the healing of the wounds inflicted in the past, and we ask for forgiveness on behalf of the perpetrators," they wrote.

The Democratic Coalition does not have to exert itself in order to be able to voice its opposition to the church. We can remember that Klára Gyurcsány Dobrev even attacked Christians from her sickbed with the coronavirus.
