The Church of All Saints in Mindszent was renovated with the support of the government and the EU, which was blessed by Bishop László Kiss-Rigó of Szeged-Csanád on Sunday as part of a thanksgiving mass.

According to the announcement of the diocese, the modernization of the All Saints Roman Catholic Church, built in 1880, took almost a year. The entire external facade of the building, as well as the roof structure, were renovated. The contractor used a special method to eliminate waterlogging, which had previously caused a significant problem. The energy required for heating and electric lighting is provided by electricity produced by solar panels.

The sacred space of the late Baroque-style monument building was also renewed: the electrical network was modernized, a new floor covering was placed on the subfloor concrete, the entire interior of the church was painted and the pews were renovated.

The renovation of the church was made possible by a grant of around HUF 50 million from the European Agricultural and Rural Development Fund and HUF 100 million from the domestic central budget. The reconstruction contractor was Hódmezővásárhely Építézmester Zrt.
