At the first board meeting after the epidemic situation, neither László Kiss nor the representatives of the Gyurcsány coalition showed up to represent the interests of the voters of Óbuda.
On June 15, the extraordinary legal order that gave the mayor of Óbuda the opportunity to make decisions affecting the life of the district in one person instead of the decision of the board ended.
Upon learning of the legislation on termination, László Kiss was frightened and instituted a mayoral decision-making on June 14, where he made more than a dozen decisions, which the board could have decided on after June 15.
The mayor of the Gyurcsány party, László Kiss, among other things, voluntarily renounced the possibility of district regulation of the Római-part, handing it over to the capital. It also terminated Óbudai Sport Kft., which organized sports programs until now, and concluded an agreement with the Chinese HC International Television Foundation.
The latter is interesting because, according to the decision, "the main objective of the agreement is to support the preservation of the traditions of the Chinese nationalities living in Hungary, to present them, to deepen the relations between the two peoples, and to make them more familiar with each other."
This would be perfectly fine, but I wonder if Kiss discussed this decision with his boss, Ferenc Gyurcsány, because in relation to Fudan University, DK was still of the opinion that cooperation with the Chinese was unacceptable in a democratic European country like Hungary.
