Bence Rétvári, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Human Resources, gave his greetings at the Morus award ceremony in the parish church of Szent Anna in Budapest-Felsővízváros after the graduation mass of the Budapest University Catholic High School and College.

The state secretary emphasized that Christianity is the most persecuted religion. Although they do not physically persecute Christians in Europe, they often try to "intrigue them out of the way" .

This is not an easy situation, in such cases there is a need for those who stand at the head of the Catholic and Christian communities and speak to the public, he said, adding that this is recognized with the Morus award.
According to the Christian Democrat politician, in the coming years, we sometimes have to protect things that we think are completely natural. We did not think that a person could be stigmatized for saying that the mother is a woman and the father is a man.

As a member of the board of trustees of the Morus Award and one of the founders of the award, Bence Rétvári recalled: the award was established for graduating students of Catholic schools to recognize those who stand up for the Catholic-Christian community, are open to public life, and help the lives of others.

He added: the church was persecuted by many people, but this did not make the church disappear, it only made it stronger. We need people who proudly profess their faith and proudly stand at the head of the community of their profession, he stressed.

At the event, Bence Rétvári presented the Morus Award to eleven students of the Budapest University Catholic High School and College. The state secretary also spoke about the extraordinary school year behind teachers and students. He thanked the teachers and school staff for putting the students in the center during the coronavirus epidemic and for doing everything they could to ensure that everyone could finish the school year.
