According to the announcement of the Prime Minister's Office, the Government of Hungary, through the Hungary Helps Program, is providing 20 million forints in immediate emergency aid to alleviate the damage caused by the severe natural disaster in the Czech Republic and to restore a church in the village of Hrusky.
The Hungarian aid is implemented in cooperation with the Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Organization, by donating tangible assets for the jointly defined humanitarian goals, as well as for the restoration of the church damaged in the windstorm in the village of Hrusky.
The tornado that hit the Czech Republic claimed several lives (some sources write about 5 victims so far - ed.), injured 150 people and caused enormous material damage.
The Hungarian emergency aid offered within a few hours of the disaster expresses the friendly sympathy of Hungary and the solidarity of the V4 alliance.
