On the occasion of Teacher's Day, the Prime Minister wrote: when the coronavirus epidemic reached our country in March 2020, we did not yet know exactly what difficulties we were facing, but we quickly had to realize that the protection against the epidemic required a rapid adjustment not only of the health sector, but also of the education system do.
According to Viktor Orbán's assessment, despite the difficult circumstances, the teachers, as well as the workers supporting education and training, did an exemplary job despite the inconveniences and dangers associated with the fight against the virus.
The Prime Minister stated that the past year and a half also proved that the teachers quickly and effectively adapted to the changing circumstances in order to effectively educate the future generation.
He expressed his gratitude for the fact that the teachers and educators replaced the work based on personal presence with great ingenuity, so that during the digital work schedule outside the classroom, they not only managed to pass on the knowledge that can be learned in the lessons to the children, but also managed the educational processes necessary for their personality development to the extent possible. In his letter, Viktor Orbán provides information that, in order to improve working conditions, the government will continue the developments that have begun, which, like education, did not stop for a single day during the epidemic, and that they will do everything to increase the respect for the work of teachers.
