9 people died, most of them elderly, chronically ill, and another 132 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus - koronavirus.gov.hu announced the weekend's aggregate data on Monday, highlighting that 5,468,205 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, of which 4,842,148 they already received the second dose of the vaccine.
It was written on the government portal: the number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 808,042. The number of those who died rose to 29,989, and those who recovered rose to 738,391.
The number of active infected people is 39,662. 157 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals, 24 of them are on ventilators.
There are 2,614 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples has increased to 6,116,542.
They pointed out that thanks to vaccinations and protective measures, it was possible to "break down" the third wave of the epidemic.
They reminded that the next stage of the restart will take effect at 5.5 million vaccinated.
