Municipal roads, bridges, and bicycle paths can be built or renewed in eight hundred and sixty settlements with this year's funds from the Hungarian village program, the government commissioner responsible for the development of modern settlements announced on Monday in Budapest.

Alpár Gyopáros said: this year fourteen calls for tenders were published in the Hungarian village program, of which results will be announced on Monday. As he said, 860 local governments won the HUF 20 billion tender for the construction and development of streets, roads, bridges, and bicycle paths owned and maintained by local governments He added that an applicant could win a maximum of HUF 40 million in support.

He drew attention to the fact that together with this year, more than 40 billion forints were spent in the Hungarian village program for the construction and renovation of municipal streets.

In two other applications, it was possible to apply for the creation of church community spaces, the development of existing ones , and their operation. The total amount of the tender was HUF three billion applicants could apply for a maximum of HUF 25 million for building development wage support and equipment procurement - applicants could win a maximum of HUF five million

Alpár Gyopáros said: they can notify 319 applicants that they have won a grant.

These are the first announcements of results this year, said the government commissioner, adding that more are expected in the coming weeks.
