If we want to keep the European Union together, the liberals must respect the rights of the non-liberals, Viktor Orbán stated in his article entitled Szamizdat 11., published on the Prime Minister's website on Monday.
The prime minister wrote : at the last meeting of the European Council, the prime ministers marched in a phalanx with the rainbow flag. They wanted to pour clean water into the glass, is there still unity of values.
Viktor Orbán emphasized: the debate was eerily similar to the June 2015 debate, which erupted due to the migrant invasion of Europe. Both were morally difficult, politically important and intellectually beautiful debates. And the answer is the same for both debates: there is no unity of values, therefore there is no political unity, he said.
In both cases, the liberals started from the assumption that these are questions that can only be answered in accordance with the hegemony of liberal opinion.
added the prime minister.
However, the response of the non-liberal democrats was that, in accordance with the pluralism of opinion, there are different answers here, and every state and people have the right to do so, and the European Union can only be kept together with the "unity in diversity" approach, he wrote.
Viktor Orbán emphasized: according to the liberals, everyone has the right to migrate, to enter the territory of the European Union, even if they do not come directly through a dangerous but a safe third country. The right to migrate is essentially considered a human right, he noted.
The prime minister continued: in the current debate about children's sexual education, according to the liberals, sensitizing publications that can enlighten them about heterosexuality, homosexuality, the abandonment of biological sex and gender reassignment operations should be put in the hands of children.
He pointed out: according to the liberals, this is a child's human right, the parent's decision cannot be exclusive, state institutions have a role and even priority in this. Children can be sensitized without parental approval and without state restrictions.
According to non-liberal democrats, the sexual upbringing of a child is the right of the parent,
and without his consent, neither the state, nor the parties, nor the NGOs, nor the rainbow activists can play a role in this - emphasized Viktor Orbán.
Expressing the current situation, he said: the rainbow countries have the right to go beyond the binary, male-female, mother-father social system.
They used to be like that too, but they moved to another dimension after considering it well and elevating their intentions to the rank of state politics, the Prime Minister wrote. He noted: in their opinion, this right cannot be questioned by another state, especially since Germany has undertaken the role of the flagship.
Viktor Orbán said: he is not sure if it is a smart thing to demonstrate again in armbands and rush onto the playing field with a rainbow flag during the Hungarian national anthem in the Munich football stadium.
However, it is certain that the Germans must decide on the education of German children. And also in that
only the Hungarians can decide on the education of Hungarian children, certainly not the Germans, the Dutch or the Belgians
- declared the Hungarian Prime Minister.
As to whether it is better to live in the binary world or the rainbow world, and why, both sides argue for their own opinions. Everyone has their own truth, he added. But from the point of view of law, international law, EU law and the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the correct position is not in doubt, Viktor Orbán stated.
He emphasized: migration is not a human right, and sexual education is not a child's human right. There is no such human right. Instead, there is Article 14 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights on the right of parents to ensure appropriate upbringing for the child, he informed.
" If we want to keep the European Union together, liberals must respect the rights of non-liberals. Unity in diversity. This is the future ," Viktor Orbán called attention in his article entitled Szamizdat 11.
