Zoltán Lomnici, the president of the Human Dignity Council, considers it the most serious scandal affecting the international justice system in recent decades that, according to a research, 22 out of a hundred judges of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in the last decade came from organizations belonging to Soros' Open Society Foundation .

The former president of the Supreme Court spoke about this on the M1 current channel on Wednesday.

Zoltán Lomnici explained: the main task of the ECHR is to supervise whether the courts of the 47 member states of the Council of Europe act in accordance with the rules of fair procedure. If someone feels that their human rights have been violated, they can file a lawsuit against a member state in this forum, so the ECtHR's decisions "decide a lot of lawsuits in progress in the member states," he explained.

Therefore, it does not matter - he continued - whether there are independent judges who comply with the requirements of a fair procedure at the ECHR. A research found 88 cases - he said - where the connection of the judges to the organizations of the Open Society Foundation could have influenced their decision.

Zoltán Lomnici indicated at a press conference held on the same topic on Monday: at the end of the procedure initiated by Pál Zsigmond Barna, member of the Parliament of the Council of Europe, among others, the European Court of Human Rights amended its delegation and conflict of interest rules in order to eliminate the entanglements objected to by the initiators. termination. As a result, in the April election, judges objectionable due to ties to Soros organizations were no longer on the board.
