After Kunhalmi's downfall, Bertalan Tóth called those who left the MSZP "with a cheerful mentality".

As we previously reported , Ágnes Kunhalmi, the co-president of the MSZP, criticized Ferenc Gyurcsány's administration and his party in the ATV regarding the politicians who left or were expelled from the Socialists. Kunhalmi's words were soon refuted by András Bulitka, whom he called a DK member who joined the MSZP.

After the fall, the MSZP also issued a statement in which they tried to correct Kunhalmi's blunder. "The co-chairman of the MSZP spoke about Zoltán Sárosy, who used to be a member of the DK, and who is now running as a candidate of the MSZP in the primary election in electoral district No. 3 of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County. We hope that with this we have managed to clarify the misinterpretation problem in a reassuring way," the party wrote.

now reported that MSZP co-chairman Bertalan Tóth called his fellow politicians who left the socialist party "people with a cheerful mentality".

The MSZP has lost several emblematic politicians in recent weeks, and most of those who left have found refuge in the party of Ferenc Gyurcsány.
