The Association of Hungarian Rural Museums and Hungarian rural museum institutions will receive unprecedented government support in the framework of the Petőfi 200 commemoration year through the Hungarian Genius Program. The tender is announced by the temporary college of the National Cultural Fund, professionally coordinated by the Association of Hungarian Rural Museums.
In hundreds and hundreds of places in the country, spiritual monuments to Hungarian creativity and genius are erected. Museum institutions will be authentic spaces for the presentation of the rich Hungarian heritage; within the formal framework of exhibitions, events, cultural collaborations, scientific research, and publications, as the embodiment of the Hungarian Genius with the most valuable rural artefacts is realized, as well as the presentation of its never-before-seen collection.
The program takes on the role of strengthening the national community.
Museums are community-building places, spaces for the involvement of visitors and civil communities, the activation of disadvantaged groups, and the transformation of institutions into community arenas. The driving force behind this is "staying in the place", organic integration into the social fabric of the settlement. more information here .
