According to the Fidesz faction in the capital, a "strong suspicion" has arisen that the references of the company that is to be announced as the winner in the operation of the Danube cruises in the capital may have a serious problem, and may even be classified as fake.

In the faction's Facebook post at the weekend, it can be read that the Danube line services will not run this year due to a lack of resources. The capital's management stated a few weeks ago that next year they will examine whether it is at all worthwhile and possible to restart this transport service, they added.

According to Fidesz in the capital, however, this uncertain situation did not bother BKV at all to want to sign a 3-plus 3-year contract for the service, which may not even start, "quickly and under rather suspicious circumstances".

In the framework of the public procurement procedure currently underway, they are looking for an operator who operates ships owned by BKV,

carries out the shipping service with them - they pointed out.

It was pointed out, however, based on publicly available information in the EKR system, a strong suspicion arose that the references of the company to be announced as the winner may have serious problems, and may even be classified as fake.

" Moreover, according to some industry insider information, a company that did not even have a shipping license could prove the previous commercial shipping service as a reference, " they emphasized.

They added that

previously, during BKV's second-hand bus rental application, they contracted with a company that did not even have a bus,

moreover, during the tender, he applied with buses owned by another company.

" Since the current public procurement procedure for shipping services is taking place under eerily similar conditions to the scandalous BKV used bus rental application, the people of Budapest can rightly fear another scandal, " they wrote in the post.

The Fidesz faction in the capital therefore asks Mayor Gergely Karácsony to launch a full-scale investigation and to prohibit BKV from entering into a contract with immediate effect until its satisfactory conclusion.

According to the announcement of the BKV, the new shipping contract promises more predictable, controllable and higher revenues. They wrote that the public procurement procedure took place in an orderly and transparent manner, M1 Híradó reported.
