The western wing of the Esterházy castle in Fertőd, renovated at a cost of almost two billion forints, was handed over, which housed three exhibitions, the Faces and Faces - Esterházy Gallery, the Esterházy Porcelain Cabinet, and Idővonzatok - Modulated Time, a joint exhibition by sculptor Boldi and painter Mózes Incze.

In his speech at the ceremony, Attila Barcza, Fidesz member of parliament for Sopron and its region, emphasized that Miklós Esterházy "Fényes" was the patron through whom the castle and its surroundings earned the name "Hungarian Versailles" in the 18th century. He added that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced the renovation of the castle in 2013.

He recalled that from the second half of the 20th century, a secondary school operated in the western wing of the castle. During the works, more than a thousand square meters of the part of the building was renovated, which is also suitable for the presentation of outstanding works of art.

The exhibition Faces and Faces - Esterházy Gallery shows 52 paintings, 51 of which are from the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, and in the Esterházy Porcelain Cabinet, almost 400 pieces of porcelain selected from the collection of the Esterházy Castle in Fertőd are exhibited, including rare and unique pieces. he detailed. He added that the horseshoe wing provides an opportunity to present temporary exhibitions.

Justice Minister Judit Varga Idővonzatok – Modulated Time , by the sculptor Boldi and the painter Mózes Incze, that Eszterháza was for a long time one of the flourishing cultural centers of Europe, which is still in demand today. He added that the two artists are looking for answers to the existential questions of the modern age, and their art is as unified as the pieces of a puzzle.

After the opening, the guests attended a concert by János Balázs Kossuth Prize-winning pianist at the Marionette Theater.
