Hungary has developed a unique oncology network in Europe in recent years, Miklós Kásler, Minister of Human Resources, announced on Tuesday at the University of Debrecen (DE), when the new building of the oncoradiology clinic was handed over.

After recalling the history of oncology care in Hungary, Miklós Kásler said that the national institute accredited at the highest international level has now been established, four regional centers have been established, of which the University of Debrecen is a part, and with the completion of the development of the center in Salgótarján, county oncology centers are operating in every county . With this, the entire domestic network was built, he added.

Based on this, the minister previously initiated the accreditation of not only the individual institutions in Europe, but also the entire care system.

He spoke about the fact that Hungary - with the participation of 20 other countries - established the Central and Eastern European Oncology Academy,

and this offers a unique opportunity to develop a homogeneous system and partnership between the European academy and the region.
