There are no fatalities, 56 more Hungarian citizens have been diagnosed with the coronavirus infection, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Wednesday, highlighting that 5,578,183 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, of which 5,327,325 have already received the second dose of the vaccine.
It was written on the government portal: the number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 808,945. The number of those who died remained unchanged at 30,019, and the number of those who recovered rose to 744,051.
The number of active infected people is 34,875. 76 coronavirus patients are being treated in the hospital, 10 of them are on ventilators.
There are 1,409 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples has increased to 6,268,163.
They wrote: Hungary ranks second in the European Union in terms of total vaccination coverage, so it remains one of the safest countries from an epidemiological point of view.
At the same time, the delta mutant of the virus is spreading strongly in several European countries, so everyone is asked to get vaccinated.
