The Trianon monument with the fanciful name Szélrózsa will be built in Szombathely, in the middle of Millennium Park. The special memorial is born from the cooperation of civilians.
At first glance, the almost six-meter Wind Rose is a flower that fits into the landscape, whose petals made of reinforced concrete are held together by a thin bandage. The size and location of the flower petals symbolize the areas torn apart by the Trianon decisions. The flower is surrounded by a fountain, on which small islands are introduced between the petals, on the inner surface of which there will be inscriptions.
The estimated cost of HUF 50 million is planned to be collected from public donations, by associations, companies and private individuals.
