With the mass migration experienced in recent years, anti-Semitism and homophobia have also arrived in Europe, Sebastian Kurz said in an interview. According to the Austrian chancellor, the EU must take steps as soon as possible to prevent new waves of refugees from Afghanistan to the continent.

In a video interview with Bild, he said that Afghanistan's problems cannot be solved by accepting masses of immigrants, as was the case in 2015. Kurz emphasized that the Austrian government will continue deportations to Afghanistan even if the Taliban control an even larger part of the country.

of going to Germany, Austria or Sweden, the refugees

Kurz emphasized that the aim of the right of asylum is not for entire countries or regions to move towards Europe, where immigrants choose the destination country they like. The chancellor fears a rise in violent crime due to an increase in the number of migrants arriving from Afghanistan. “You just have to look at the crime statistics. Much of the brutality did not exist in the past. In the case of certain groups, the rate of violent crimes and sexual violence against women is particularly high," he emphasized.

The spread of Islamism also worries Kurz, as he put it: "I don't want to bring this sick ideology into Europe." According to him, many immigrants were able to integrate well, but at the same time, with the mass migration experienced in recent years, anti-Semitism and homophobia have also arrived in Europe, and many asylum seekers do not support women's rights.

As an example, the chancellor cited the deteriorating security situation in the French suburbs, Belgium and other EU member states, and recalled the case of a 13-year-old girl murdered by young Afghan migrants in Austria at the end of June. The Austrian politician also admitted that many asylum seekers who came from foreign systems and cultures are causing problems in his country.
