Mayor Gergely Karácsony recalled his 2019 election campaign promises on the social page of the Fidesz organization in Budapest.

Gergely Karácsony, quoting from the Mayor's program entitled Budapest's Constitution, presents the credibility of his words in the Facebook post of the capital organization of the ruling party. First of all, they reminded me that the left-wing city manager once said: "Budapest is the common home of all of us, where there are no first-class or second-class citizens", and then he classified those who drive by car as second-class citizens.

The compilation also revives the time when Karácsony still believed that the mayor, district mayors and the Capital Assembly should not serve business or party interests, but the interests of the residents here, and then this spring he entered the left-wing coalition's race for prime minister.

Two years ago, Karácsony spoke about the fact that "Budapest is a unit of twenty-three districts, within which the even development of the outer and inner districts must be ensured", after his election he "zeroed" the road renovation budget of the right-wing districts - emphasized Fidesz, and then called on the attention when he stated: "Before any major decision, the opinion of the stakeholders must be sought, especially with regard to the planned investments" - on the other hand, he modified the renovation plans of Blaha Lujza tér by excluding the public.

According to Karácsony's promise, the city must operate in an open, transparent and corruption-free manner, where all data and contracts of public interest are public, but at the same time, according to Fidesz's post, "he watched the Leisztinger-Tüttő bus swindle and the five-billion-forint increase in the price of the Chain Bridge" : the program also stated that the Capital Assembly would also make a decision on the chapters of the central budget affecting Budapest, but Karácsony decided on Budapest's central budget in one person.

The capital organization of the larger government party drew attention to the fact that when reading Gergely Karácsony's new prime ministerial candidate program, one should remember these loud words and then the disappointing reality.
