Prime Minister Viktor Orbán sent a message on Facebook to the swimming class that has received numerous sexist attacks in recent days.
The Prime Minister wrote on the 32-year-old athlete's Facebook page:
Once a champion, always a champion. The one in whose honor the national flag was raised at an Olympics will always remain our hero.
The living legend is a three-time Olympic, nine-time world and fifteen-time European champion, and he was the first athlete in history to hold the world record in all five medley events at the same time.
