Even the coronavirus could not override the government's family support policy!
Thanks to the decision of the Ministry of Finance, 37 municipally-maintained kitchens for children's meals and two nurseries can now be renewed or established with more than one and a half billion forints, informed András Tállai.

An important element of the support for families raising children is the support of nurseries and child feeding developments, highlighted the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance. He reminded that since 2015, municipalities have been able to apply for state support for the renovation of the premises they maintain that provide meals for children. The government launched the Nursery Development Program in 2018, he added.

In the framework of the 2021 Ministry of Finance tender, additional opportunities were opened for the renovation and development of dining rooms, or even the establishment of new kitchens, and in terms of nurseries, primarily municipally-owned nurseries struggling with a lack of places could expand their capacity, explained the state secretary.
When evaluating applications
THE ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS WERE PRIORIZED,
energy modernization and support for underprivileged children, underlined András Tállai. In the case of the kitchen development, the majority of the applications received a positive assessment, while in the case of the nursery school expansions, both applicants successfully won the requested support, he explained.
