According to the ruling of the Texas Department of Family Protection, gender reassignment surgery on minors is considered child abuse. The decision comes a week after Gov. Greg Abbott asked the agency to look into the issue.
In a letter to Governor Abbott's office, DFPS Commissioner Jaime Masters genital mutilation through sex reassignment surgery constitutes child abuse! Masters wrote:
This surgical intervention is not for medical purposes, it physically changes the genitals, which can cause irreversible damage to the children's bodies. In general , children under parental supervision do not have the right to consent to surgical procedures and thus become more vulnerable.
Masters added that gender reassignment surgery may only be appropriate for minors in certain cases, such as those whose body parts have been affected by disease or trauma; who was born with a medically verifiable genital malformation, such as the presence of ovarian and testicular tissue; or who does not have a normal sex chromosome structure, based on genetic tests. If physicians or DFPS professionals witnessed such abuse, they were instructed to report it to a DFPS official within 48 hours. Failure to do so constitutes a misdemeanor.
By the way, the Biden administration strongly supports children who identify as transgender. In the 2020 election Joe Biden said at a town hall that he wants to make life "much easier" for eight-year-old children to decide their gender. In February of this year, President Biden's nominee for health care assistant, Rachel Levine (a man who identifies as a woman), dodged Rand Paul , who asked whether minors could change their gender:
Dr. Levine! Do you believe that minors are capable of making a lifelong decision such as changing their gender? Paul asked.
“Transgender medicine is a very complex and nuanced field with strong research and standards that have been developed, (…) I will go to your office and we will discuss the details of regulations for transgender medicine,” Levine replied.
In Texas, even if the unfortunate female wanted to "talk", she would get a clear answer. Away from families, sex change advertising villains!
