As part of the August 20th ceremony in Vác, Bishop Zsolt Marton of Vác gave a festive speech and blessed the new bread on St. Stephen's Day. In his speech, the bishop responsible for families of the Catholic Bishops' Faculty firmly stood up for the value of the "biblically inspired" family, vasarnap.hu reported on the event.

Bishop Zsolt Marton pointed out the sincere faith of the holy founder of the state. According to the head pastor, the first king of the Hungarians was a righteous man who lived the gospel. His admonitions to his son, Prince Szent Imre, clearly testify to this. In this, he was clearly of the position that the first thing is the service of the church, because only this can lead to the rise of the people he leads.

In his speech, the family reference bishop of the Hungarian Catholic Faculty of Bishops showed King St. István and his wife Boldog Gizella . "The truth of the Bible was also confirmed in their marriage: "God created man in his own image. He created him in God's image. Male and female he created them.”

The husband and wife together form a round whole - emphasized Zsolt Marton. "Together with Saint István and Blessed Gizella, we still believe that the union of love between a man and a woman created by God and the resulting family is the basic cell of our social and church life, which cannot be replaced by anything," stated the bishop responsible for families in his speech .

"Today we often hear that the institutions of marriage and the family are in crisis. Actually, it is not marriage and the biblically inspired family that are in crisis, but the society that does not recognize the value of marriage and the family, forgets its original meaning.

According to the teaching of the Catholic Church, marriage is not a civilizational construct that was created when it was needed in the course of human development, and which then disappears over time when it is no longer needed. "Marriage is not the child, but the parent of civilization," explained Bishop Zsolt Marton, who is responsible for the family, and, quoting Pope Francis, added: "The family serves as the basis for protecting ourselves."
