In honor of the 52nd World Eucharistic Congress, 21 memorial crosses are erected in the Hungarian forests. All this was announced in the middle of the week by Péter Zambo, the state secretary responsible for forests at the Ministry of Agriculture, at the erection of the wooden cross in the Koloska Valley, which was blessed by the Franciscan monk Csaba Böjte after the open-air mass.

The state secretary emphasized that the crosses remind us of our belonging, our Hungarianness, our humanity , and can be a reference point for the time we spent together there. As an example, he mentioned the Koloska Valley, which is a regular stop of the Balaton Star Trail mission led by the Franciscan monk Csaba Böjte, which was organized this year for the eighth time.

Péter Zambó said that the Hungarian forests are not only places for our physical, but also spiritual recharge. As an example, he mentioned the Pauline hermits, who moved to the Pilis and Mecsek forests not by chance.
