The slow rise in the number of people infected with the coronavirus has started here: experts therefore continue to encourage people to get vaccinated. National Chief Medical Officer Cecília Müller said: vaccination is the most effective defense against the virus, less than one percent of those vaccinated become infected. In the meantime, the prime minister asked in a letter those who had previously registered for the vaccine to talk one more person into the vaccination. Viktor Orbán put it this way: the country is prepared for the fourth wave, they can vaccinate everyone who asks for it, it was said in the M1 News.

Vaccination points are waiting for applicants all over the country. Appointments can be made every day of the week at the Central Hospital of Borsod County. Since more people applied for the third round of vaccination here than expected, the capacities had to be expanded, a total of five vaccination sites were created. Recently, mainly third-round vaccinations have been administered, but those who request the first or second injection are also expected.

Three thousand people were vaccinated in the Miskolc hospital last week, and four thousand people are expected this week.

Nursing professional manager Tünde Jánosikné Szabó told M1 Hírado that mainly the over-60 age group comes to be vaccinated, but with the approach of the fourth wave, chronic and cancer patients are encouraged to take the third round of vaccination.

Of the 120 residents of one of the nursing homes in Kiskőrös, everyone has already received both vaccinations, and now the third, i.e. repeat, injections are continuously administered to the residents and workers. A total of 99 residents in the institution requested the injection.

"It was a very good experience that there was no disease after the vaccination, even with the virus, and the vaccination did not have side effects to the extent that would have scared them," said György Opauszki, head of the Filadelfia Old People's Home of the Hungarian Baptist Church.

The delta virus variant of the new coronavirus is already spreading throughout Europe and in our country. Vaccines against the coronavirus offer effective protection against this. Cecília Müller told M1 Hírado :

studies so far clearly demonstrate that vaccinations provide effective protection against severe symptoms of the virus.

"This means that only 0.2 percent of the five and a half million people who have already received both doses of the various vaccines, thus enjoying protection against the coronavirus, were reinfected. It happens, it's an extremely good rate," said the chief medical officer.

The virus mutant poses the greatest danger to those who have not yet been vaccinated, so the government encourages them to get vaccinated. Viktor Orbán emphasized again over the weekend: vaccination is the most effective defense against the virus.

And now, in an email, the Prime Minister asked those who had previously registered for the vaccination - and approved the government notifications there - to encourage at least one person in their family or workplace who has not been vaccinated to request the vaccination against the coronavirus.

The prime minister emphasized: according to Hungarian experience, among people who have undergone two vaccinations, only one person out of five hundred gets the virus. The government prepared Hungary for the fourth wave. Viktor Orbán put it this way: thanks to the successful procurement of vaccines, we can vaccinate everyone who requests vaccination in Hungary.

This is when the fourth wave peaks

The fourth wave is on the brink, while vaccinations continue at home throughout the country. In addition, another vaccination campaign against the coronavirus will start soon. At the weekend, Viktor Orbán emphasized again that vaccination is the most effective defense against the virus, he said on M1's Ma regleg program.

It can be deduced from the data that this wave has actually already started, since the slow increase in the number of cases has started and will continue in September, said virologist and virus researcher Mikós Rusvai.

He then added that, in his opinion, the real acceleration will begin with the arrival of the cool, damp autumn weather, i.e. the second half of October, in November.

Miklós Rusvai predicts the peak of the fourth wave around November. In addition, he said that there will be a sudden increase in the number of cases, but it will not run as high as during the third or second wave.

The fourth wave will not leave as many dead, there will not be as many ventilators, there will not be as many seriously ill patients, this is already guaranteed by the approximately 65 percent vaccination rate

said the virologist.

The vaccine does not prevent infection, which means that the number of infected people will be high, but the number of patients, those on ventilators and the dead will not, he added.

Miklós Rusvai emphasized that the probability that sooner or later everyone will be infected is greater than 80 percent. Those who have not been vaccinated are not protected, those who have been vaccinated are. So the difference is that those who have been vaccinated will not get sick, those who have not been vaccinated will get sick as a result of the infection.

Vaccines are more than 99 percent effective in preventing someone from dying or needing a ventilator

said Miklós Rusvai.

We also vaccinate for the benefit of the community, because not only do the vaccinated not develop symptoms, but a much smaller amount of virus is produced, meaning that the virus load in the environment near the vaccinated will be lower, so others are less likely to get the infection, he added.
