Luca Ekler, the Hungarian starter in the T38 category - in the long jump - went for his second title as world and European champion after finishing fourth in the 100-meter flat race on Saturday.

He improved his own world record of 5.51 for the first time, jumping 5.60 meters, leading by a large margin. His second attempt was invalid, he improved the record again for the third time, reaching 5.63, then two bad attempts and a half-completed jump with 4.00 meters followed.

None of his opponents threatened his confident success.

Russia's Margarita Goncharova finished second with 5.29 and Great Britain's Olivia Breen was third with 4.91.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also congratulated him on the fantastic success on his Facebook page

The 22-year-old TFSE athlete held the world record in his category with 5.51 meters, setting this to win this year's European Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland. By the way, his personal best is 5.87 meters, which he achieved last summer among the healthy, so it is not included in the official results of the para competitions.

Ekler suffered a stroke in 2009, as a result of which his left side became paralyzed, but as a result of physiotherapy and physiotherapy treatment, now only visible symptoms remain on his left hand.
