The government will continue to support programs for community purposes next year: various church communities can apply for support to organize one- or several-day programs, events, camps, and pilgrimages - the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for church and ethnic relations announced on Tuesday at the handover of the Roman Catholic kindergarten in Debrecen-Józsán.
Miklós Soltész said that the call for tenders will be published on the website of the Gábor Bethlen Foundation on September 6, and their goal is to preserve and strengthen the communities with the support.
Lajos Kósa (Fidesz), the parliamentary representative of the region, reminded that 31 years ago, at the time of the regime change, only a few thousand children attended church-maintained schools, today their number exceeds 240 thousand.
