The inner realities of our lives only find their place if the relationship of the entire universe to the creator somehow appears in them. - said Cardinal Péter Erdő, Primate, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, the ecclesiastical patron of the event, who opened the festival at the Hungarian National Museum.

As he emphasized, this year is special because there are many exhibitions in Hungary dealing with the relationship between the arts and the Eucharist, and on the other hand, true noble art teaches and builds people without words, it can strengthen and comfort.

The highlight of this year's Ars Sacra Festival is the open-air stage in front of St. Stephen's Basilica, where musical programs and discussions are being held throughout the week on the occasion of the International Eucharistic Congress. Márta Sebestyén, the Kaláka Ensemble, the 4Akkord Show Choir, Mária Petrás, Gergely Agócs will perform.
László Fassang, Gergely Bogányi, the Saint Ephrem Male Choir and the Central Reformed Choir can be heard in the church concert series. On September 11, an all-day family program will be organized at Margitsziget Water Tower, where the musical puppet play Saint István, Rex Hungarorum will be presented. On the 100th anniversary of the birth of János Pilinszky, special attention will be paid to the poet's oeuvre, on September 4, Ferenc Tolvaly's documentary film will be shown at the Uránia National Film Theater, and there will be a candlelit vesper in the Dominican courtyard.

Among the rural settlements, Eger stands out, where the Eszterházy Károly University is the main venue between September 6 and 12.
