- It was a great pleasure to see the faces of our guests who happily attended the lunch. There were whole families among them, but also homeless people. For the lunch, the Ministry of Agriculture provided the raw materials from which the bean stew was cooked in one of the barracks of the Hungarian Armed Forces, which was served by the National Guard and volunteers to the guests sitting at the laid tables. In addition, the guests could have a bite of the cake of the World Eucharistic Congress. "The guests really liked the goulash, some of them specifically asked me to give it to the veterans, that they really deserve praise for their culinary skills," added M. Ágnes Hajós.
In addition to Cardinal Péter Erdő, Minister of Agriculture István Nagy and a representative of the Ministry of National Defense also took part in the event. "Cardinal Péter Erdő sat among our poor, spent lunch with them, talked with them, encouraged them, " added the sister, who also said: the day before the World Eucharistic Congress, a one-off Charity Hospitality was organized so that the needy could also benefit from the mood of the congress.
The visiting army was served by a hundred helpers; who came primarily from the ranks of monks and scouts, and helped the organizers with serving and registration.
