The organs of more than two hundred villages have been renovated with government support in the past year and a half, State Secretary for Culture Péter Fekete told MTI after handing over the organ of St. Michael's Church, which was also renewed as part of the program, in the village of Bucsu in Vas County, which has a population of 600.

He said that during the program, which has been running for the third year, the musical instruments used in the music schools were replaced, guitars, flutes and cellos were put into the hands of hundreds of young people "moving around the churches", and then they also examined where there are small settlements where the church organs have already been taken away due to their dilapidated condition. they cannot use them because they are out of tune, dusty, or broken.

He added: in a unique way in the country, in the small region connected to Szombathely, it was possible to renew most of the church organs, since soon a renewed church instrument will be handed over in Dozmato and Torony.

Csaba Hende, the Fidesz representative of electoral district No. 1 of Vas county, said that several church communities and parishes in his electoral district decided to take advantage of the tender opportunity for the renovation of church organs.

According to his words, he felt it was important to give special support to the decision as a representative of the constituency, because the renovated organs - "which are the instruments of the Lord" - in addition to being an important part of the liturgy, professionally renovated also make it possible for churches with excellent acoustic properties to in small rural towns, they sometimes become concert halls.

Parish priest László Haller announced that their church has been renovated both externally and internally in recent years, using grant funds. It is a special pleasure for them that their organ, which is more than a hundred years old, is now in line.

After the Mass and the dedication ceremony, organist András Lakner-Bognár and violinist Illés Klaudia, and then rock singer Miklós Varga gave a concert in the Roman Catholic church in Bucsu, which operates as a branch.
