The vaccine is working, Hungary is working, and we must continue on this path - stated the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for parliamentary and strategic affairs in Kossuth Rádió's Sunday Newspaper program. Balázs Orbán, reviewing the Citizen's Piknik meeting organized by the Foundation for Civil Hungary and held in Kötcs in Somogy County on Saturday, emphasized: "we have arrived at the age of epidemics and migrations", the countries must be prepared for this.

Speaking about the coronavirus epidemic, he emphasized that the vaccine is working, Hungary is working, and we must continue on this path. It has been proven that the most effective weapon against the coronavirus is not the introduction of restrictions, but vaccination, so the vaccination program must be made a success with more and more actions, rather than thinking about closures, he said.

He also touched on the fact that the European Union was the "most livable framework" for Hungarians in recent decades, but at the same time "the challenges are enormous", there are political forces, Brussels bureaucrats, left-wing liberal groups, NGO networks and media that are experiencing ideological conflicts. out, and these threaten the collapse of the EU. In this context, Balázs Orbán mentioned the migration challenge, the gender issue and the financial burden of the fight against climate change. Instead of all this, we should rather talk about why the EU is weakening in the geopolitical space, why its ability to assert its interests is getting smaller and smaller, and why it has competitiveness problems, he emphasized.

Balázs Orbán put it this way:

it is clear that EU membership is an advantage for most countries, but the Eurozone is "creaking" and there is no adequate response from Brussels.

He added that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in this regard,

"even if the EU falls apart, we will be among the last ones standing there, holding the last beam, and we will work to stop and reverse the disintegration".

The politician also touched on the fact that a serious migration wave is expected from Afghanistan. The problem is that the EU remains divided on the issue of migration, he added. He emphasized that, although more and more member states say that the borders must be protected compared to 2015, the "liberal pro-immigration side is trying to impose its will on the others."

They will not succeed, but at the same time, "as a kind of side track", the whole community will be affected by the division they cause, he said.

Turning to next year's parliamentary elections, he said that Viktor Orbán outlined a "very complex, complex and complicated" strategy, the summary of which is:

"we win, they lose. This is the war plan”.

The choice has been simplified, because in 2022 you can choose between the return to Hungary before 2010 and the policy that brought success in the last 10-11 years, he said.

He explained that under the leadership of DK president Ferenc Gyurcsány, the left "clearly wants to bring back the failed government between 2002 and 2010, the same policy solutions, the same people, the same proposals are expected".

"Our proposal is not to go back to where we were then, which resulted in a weak and declining Hungary", but to strengthen the alliance between Hungarian politics and the Hungarian people, and then the country will continue to be among the successful countries in the next decade will be among them, he said at the end.
