The main ingredient in the recipe of Hungarian conservatives is the trinity of God, family and country, and the spice is national identity and pride.

One of the oldest annual galas of the American Republicans was held a week ago in New York, co-organized by Hungary and with the participation of Donald Trump: the local Young Republicans Club was founded in the early 1900s and is now one of the largest such clubs in the country, with serious political influence and extensive connections. .

Speaking for an hour, Donald Trump said of his favorite city, New York, that it is currently "under siege" and that "terrible things are happening".

Donald Trump then brushed off that the bullets intended for him in the indirect sense simply bounce back to those who attack him.

He also recalled the statements coming from the left, according to which his person is a threat to democracy. He declared that he will protect democracy from Joe Biden.

At the event, Miklós Szánthó, the director general of the Center for Fundamental Rights, shared the recipe of the Hungarian conservatives, the main ingredients of which are the trinity of God, family and homeland, and the spice is national identity and pride.

According to Szabolcs Takács, our country's ambassador to Washington, the Republican organization's relations with Hungary are the best example of good Hungarian-American relations.

At the same time, the diplomat expressed his thanks for the friendship and support, as well as expressed his appreciation for the work of the former president, Donald Trump, during whose tenure such results as the historic Abraham Accords for reconciliation in the Middle East and the American-Hungarian defense agreement were achieved. He put it like this:

During Trump's time, Hungary was treated as a valuable partner and friend, which you will not forget.

At the gala evening of the American Republicans, several members of the European Parliament appeared, including Ernő Schaller-Baross, a member of the EU Parliament of Fidesz.

Harald Vilimsky, the Austrian conservative representative of the EP, said that the event reflects the hope that sovereign states are friendly with each other, treating each other as equals, working for a common future against globalization, the "madness" of the left and the destruction of traditional values.

Several members of the US Congress, senators and representatives were also present at the gala evening. Among them was Paul Gosar, who represents the state of Arizona in the Capitol in Washington and is also an advocate of Hungarian-American relations.

When asked if he thinks there is a strengthening of relations between the United States and Hungary, especially between American and Hungarian conservatives, he answered that

American conservatives love Hungary very much.

"I also went there this year, with the American Conservative Association, and what a wonderful time we had! And their prime minister, Viktor Orbán, is a great person! "Seeing that political changes are taking place elsewhere - for example in Argentina or the Netherlands - and hoping that Donald Trump will return in 2024, I think good times are ahead," said the representative from Arizona.
