At Wednesday's meeting of the government, it was decided that "we will stand by Poland and condemn the senseless attacks in Brussels!" - informed the Minister of Justice on his Facebook page in the evening.

Judit Varga recalled that with Tuesday's decision, the European Commission "launched a rude attack on Poland, interfering in an unprecedented way in the justice system and legislative process of a sovereign member state".

"The procedure is not only outrageous, but also completely unacceptable," the minister stated.

According to Judit Varga, Warsaw "in good faith and in the spirit of loyal cooperation" indicated to the European Commission that, in accordance with the summer decision of the European Court of Justice, it intends to repeal the objectionable provision regarding the operation of the Disciplinary Council of the Polish Supreme Court, however, the commission "disregarding the Polish promise and unjustifiably doubting the commitment of the Polish government, he has already initiated the imposition of a coercive fine".

"With this scandalous and arrogant step, the Commission has crossed a line that we previously thought was unimaginable," said the minister, emphasizing: "we fully stand up for Poland and show solidarity with our Polish friends, so we will examine the possibilities of the Hungarian stand next to Warsaw in the in European court proceedings'.

"The national justice system in any member state cannot become a victim of Brussels' empire-building!" Judit Varga emphasized in her post.
