Ferenc Gyurcsány introduced DK to public awareness with a tent demonstration nine years ago. The harshest critic of the staged action was its current ally, Jobbik, which at the time expressed its opinion with banners reading "Feri, a whole country was starving under you" and "Feri, don't stop after a week", writes Csilla Korompay in Magyar Hírlap.

, Ferenc Gyurcsány, István Kolber, Csaba Molnár and Péter Niedermüller held their one-week tent hunger strike - from September 9 to 15, 2012 - on Kossuth Square . Although the demonstration was declared as a protest against the amendment of the electoral law, it was clear that the real goal was to increase Gyurcsány's popularity and the DK's reputation, since the support of the newly created organization was only one or two percent at the time.

Of course, it is understandable that DK, which has since become the leading force of the left, does not like to recall the Gyurcsány show at that time, since among the parties Jobbik reacted with the harshest criticism to the staged action, calling it deceitful and hypocritical. Food was distributed near the Gyurcsányek's tents to "the really needy" people, and Jobbik MP Gergely Farkas that the fallen prime minister would be the first to agree with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and that would lead to new austerity measures, thus worsening the social situation of many people.

Gábor Lengyel , one of the leaders of Jobbik's Youth Department (IT), said: in the person of Ferenc Gyurcsány, who is on hunger strike for free elections, someone who is worried about democracy is someone who shot people's eyes out in 2006 and won the elections with lies.

According to rumors, several people saw Ferenc Gyurcsány eating during his hunger strike, so they suggested to the President of the DK that he spend the remaining time of the action in the presence of a notary public. During the press conference, Jobbik's IT members held banners, including "Feri, a whole country was starving under you", "Feri, don't stop after a week" and "Feri, you're doing it right: you don't work, you don't eat". with captions.

The spokesperson of Fidesz, Gabriella Selmeczi, commented on the attraction of the Gyurcsánys: it does not sound very exciting that four middle-aged men move into a tent in the middle of the city center. Maybe we shouldn't make such a big deal out of a one-week cleansing course.

At the end of the hunger strike demonstration, the politicians of South Korea happily basked in the public attention and honored it with influential speeches to their growing number of supporters. Csaba Molnár spoke about how they now better understand the suffering and misery of the poor, and Ferenc Gyurcsány triumphantly announced: "We survived." He then remembered the Öszöd speech with a thick-skinned pat on the head, stating with regret that despite his efforts, they failed to face themselves. At the same time, he announced that the MSZP had finally assured him of its support, and Solidarity had also invited him to the demonstration on October 23 - so his rehabilitation on the left had begun.

He also mentioned that Hungarians across the border should not be given the right to vote, because if Fidesz wins with their votes, everyone will hate them...
