In the new development cycle until 2027, the government will provide HUF 1,700 billion to the settlements, said Minister of Finance Mihály Varga in a video published on his Facebook page on Tuesday.

The minister said that the government will combine the developments within the framework of the TOP Plusz program, and the drafts of the first calls are already available on the website www.palyazat.gov.hu These are related to building upgrades, the development of kindergartens and nurseries, as well as sustainable transport, he added.

He reminded: the TOP program was extremely successful in the previous development cycle: the plans of more than two thousand settlements received support worth HUF 1,600 billion. Thanks to the developments, among other things, 800 kilometers of roads were renewed, 14,000 kindergarten places were created and nearly 1,500 kilometers of bicycle paths were built, he explained.

The comments of those involved are waiting for the new tenders. The goal is to be able to announce the first calls already this autumn. The developments can thus contribute to the development of settlements and the restart of the economy as soon as possible, said Mihály Varga.
