The Hungarian Medical Chamber presented its professional opinion on vaccination against covid-19 in a press release. They also addressed the dangerous activities of healthcare workers spreading fake news.
"The Hungarian Medical Chamber has regrettably experienced that - both in the wider world and in our country - there are deceived and loud groups. We regret that some healthcare workers - in a way that is incompatible with the professional knowledge expected of their profession - are spreading misconceptions.
In addition to the strengthening fourth wave, we have a shared responsibility to curb the spread of the coronavirus by observing individual and community precautions. The Hungarian Medical Chamber continues to stand by the presentation of the dangerous reality of the epidemic and the importance of individual and community protection. Protect yourself and your fellow humans by asking for vaccination, wearing a mask, keeping your distance, and washing your hands regularly! If you are infected, stay at home, and if your symptoms worsen, seek help in time!
Vaccination is currently the most effective means of controlling the epidemic.
Vaccines train our immune system to protect us against an infectious disease. If a community is sufficiently immune to an infectious disease, the spread of the disease is reduced.
The current health law in Hungary stipulates that the community interest comes before individual rights , and the Commissioner for Citizens' Rights took the same position. And the threat of an epidemic creates such a situation in all democracies of the world.
Let's protect ourselves, protect our families, protect our fellow humans!"
