With reason, talent, will and faith, "we will not only defeat the epidemic, but we will not fail to start anew," the President of the Republic said on Friday in Budapest, when he received the members of the Friends of Hungary Foundation in the Sándor Palace.
János Áder highlighted, among other things, that the heart of the foundation's members is Hungary, and their common goal is to think together, express their attachment together, and make their voices heard together . "Never forgetting the responsibility and task of the individual so that an authentic, fair image of our country and faithful to the results can be formed in the world".
The head of state compared the foundation to the National Protection Society led by Lajos Kossuth, and recalled how Ferenc Deák once encouraged the support of the protection society: he asked his audience to contribute to the prosperity of the country with their elections and everyday decisions. The foundation was organized with similar ideas, he added.
At the end of his welcome, János Áder said goodbye to the participants, indicating that in a year they could meet another head of state.
Academician E. Szilveszter Vizi, the chairman of the board of trustees, spoke about how the foundation, which plays an important role in the unity of Hungarians as a world nation, always speaks out when unjust accusations are made against the country.
The organization, which has been operating for ten years, has become a benchmark for people living in the diaspora, it gives faith and hope to the Hungarians of the world, as well as the fact that the country's first public honor received the members of the foundation for the seventh time, said the chairman of the board of trustees.
