The number of registered events of the conference series on the future of Europe exceeded 2,000, including 160 Hungarian events, putting Hungary in third place behind Germany and Italy, the Minister of Justice announced on Monday on his Facebook page.

According to Judit Varga's post published in English, the statistics show that the Hungarian people are committed to the future of Europe. It is no coincidence that Hungary was the first to formulate its vision - in seven points - of the most important issues affecting the continent, he added.

He wrote: those who unfairly accuse Hungary of following the path of the United Kingdom together with Poland may have a difficult time.

We work and are active in the exchange of ideas and common thinking because we want to live in a Europe that is true to its own intellectual and cultural heritage. Where national commitment is not mocked and the concept of family is not relativized

said the minister.

He emphasized: Europe can only be strong if its member states are strong, and only such a capable Europe can stand the test of time. According to the post, Judit Varga will represent this principle at the online meeting of the leading board of the conference series on Monday, where the autumn stages of the event will be discussed with the representatives of the member states.

The current consultation cannot be complete without the opinion of the Hungarians, he wrote, emphasizing:

now is the time to finally send a direct message to Brussels, be it about migration, family or the defense of our shared values”.

Judit Varga encourages people to use the opportunity, register on the website www.futureu.europa.eu and share their opinions and thoughts about the future of the continent.

" This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, let's turn up the volume and show Europe the voice of the Hungarians !" the minister wrote.
