The number of vaccinated people is 5,873,523, of which 5,615,273 have already received their second vaccination, and 691 thousand have already received their third vaccination. 531 new infections were confirmed, bringing the total number of identified infections to 820,078 since the beginning of the epidemic.
6 patients died, so the number of those who died rose to 30,151. The number of people who have recovered is constantly increasing, currently 781,794 people, and the number of active infected people has risen to 8,133 people. 438 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 54 of them are on ventilators.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán drew attention to the fact that only vaccination helps against the virus, and that the unvaccinated are exposed to the risk of a serious disease, so it is important that they also take advantage of the opportunity to be vaccinated.
Less than 1% of those vaccinated become ill, and the course of the disease is usually much milder than those vaccinated.
