A week ago, they were thinking about the resignation of Gergely Karácsony - said Péter Márki-Zay at the campaign event for the so-called change of government in Madách Square. The statement casts a new light on the events of last week, because then Karácsony firmly insisted that he would not back down from his candidacy for prime minister. At the meeting, which did not really arouse much interest, the participants repeatedly contradicted themselves and each other, and without consistency promised to do everything to prevent Klára Dobrev, who was deemed to have no chance, from facing Viktor Orbán next April, reports Magyar Nemzet.

Péter Márki-Zay's change of government event was organized with the motto neither right nor left, only up, which is difficult to interpret because if the mayor of Hódmezővásárhely were to win the left-wing primary, according to a preliminary agreement, all left-wing parties would line up behind him . The Prime Minister candidate of the Everyone's Hungary Movement, who positions himself as a right-wing person, mentioned in his campaign sermon that he is the only one who can appeal to right-wing, left-wing, Christian and atheist voters, and he even emphasized that Jesus Christ was also a left-wing person. Márki-Zay also said: as a Christian, he cannot name another person who has spoken up for gay rights as many times as he has. Katalin Lukácsi, who also calls herself a right-winger - who this time took care of the hostess duties of the not-so-crowded event - previously talked about Jesus also marching on Pride.

Péter Márki-Zay confidently claimed that if the parliamentary elections were held now, the left-wing alliance would win by seven percentage points if he were Viktor Orbán's challenger. However, barely an hour before , Ákos Hadházy warned those present in his speech that all opinion polls show the victory of the ruling party , but at least there is no reliable data that the left-wing coalition would definitely win the election. Hadházy - who is also Márki-Zay's cousin - emphasized that they are losing even though Viktor Orbán's "money distribution" has not even started.

In his campaign speech, the candidate of the Mendiki Magyarorszártét Movement promised everything that Gergely Karácsony and Klára Dobrev did separately, i.e. instead of cutting utility bills, energy saving, raising the family allowance and a panel program, then added in the spirit of national unification: he would also continue Viktor Orbán's family policy.

What is really interesting is that the Democratic Coalition, which supposedly has the largest left-wing faction, promised in the first round that they would throw Viktor Orbán's budget, his program affecting families and the current tax system into the trash with a casual gesture...

...In addition, the self of two years ago emerged again from Christmas, who began to worry about the winter heating of pensioners. It should be noted: the HUF 20,000 utility subsidy promised by him in his election campaign two years ago is currently only available to a small group, the pensioners are still waiting for the promises to be redeemed in Budapest.

Even on Sunday morning, Márki-Zay offered one million forints in an unprecedented way, which caused displeasure even on the left, to those who cover up election fraud and who can prove Fidesz's ulterior motives. According to him, it cannot be ruled out that Fidesz will mobilize alongside Klára Dobrev in the second round of the opposition primaries. In addition to being an astonishing, absurd political assumption, it is also a controversial statement because mobilization in itself is not a category of election fraud, but an existing campaign element. The second round of the opposition primaries started just a few hours ago, but new problems arose with the IT system. The organizers acknowledged the errors on the official social media page of the primary election.
