Sixteen, mostly elderly, chronic patients died and another 859 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus. So far, 5,924,446 people have been vaccinated in Hungary, of which 5,703,088 received the second dose, and 1,12,000 received the third dose.

The number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 837,248.
The number of those who died rose to 30,418, and the number of those who recovered rose to 792,242. The number of active infected people is 14,588. 999 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals, of which 144 are on ventilators.

The government is providing another 800,000 rapid antigen tests to general practitioners to help contain the epidemic.
