The number of vaccinated people is 5,932,239, of which 5,710,977 have already received their second vaccination, and 1 million 56 thousand have already received their third vaccination. A total of 2,361 new infected people were confirmed, increasing the number of identified infected people to 841,277 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Most of the 20 who died were elderly and chronically ill, so the number of those who died rose to 30,468.
The number of recovered people is constantly increasing, currently 793,288 people, and the number of active infected people has risen to 17,521 people. 1,105 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 155 of them are on ventilators. The new diseases are caused by the delta virus mutant, and the unvaccinated are at greatest risk, so we ask them to register and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Less than 1% of those vaccinated become ill, and the course of the disease is usually much milder than those vaccinated. The majority of the Hungarian population has registered for vaccination and has already taken it, those who have not yet can still do so on the website www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu.
