The number of vaccinated people is 5,941,073, of which 5,721,531 have already received their second vaccination, and 1,120,000 have already received their third vaccination. A total of 1,701 new infections were confirmed, bringing the total number of identified infections to 852,214 since the beginning of the epidemic.

The majority of the 44 who died were elderly and chronically ill, so the number of those who died rose to 30,611. The number of people who have recovered is constantly increasing, currently 795,828 people, and the number of active infected people has risen to 25,775 people. 1,685 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 197 of them are on ventilators.

The new diseases are caused by the delta virus mutant, and the unvaccinated are at greatest risk, so we ask them to register and get vaccinated
as soon as possible.

Less than 1% of those vaccinated become ill, and the course of the disease is usually much milder than those vaccinated. The majority of the Hungarian population has registered for vaccination and has already taken it, those who have not yet can still do so on the website www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu.

After registration, it is possible to book an appointment for vaccination at the general practitioner's office and on the Internet at www.eeszt.gov.hu. Anyone with a valid registration can book an appointment for the first, missed second and third vaccinations in the appointment booking system.
