Justice Minister Judit Varga called the European Commission's report on the rule of law a practice lacking the legal basis set in the contracts. The minister pointed out that Brussels increasingly wants to present specific cases as a general rule of law problem.

"If a member state does not want to stand by decisions that deeply affect its sovereignty or constitutional identity", it will be threatened with procedures, he pointed out. "The Hungarian people have a decision-making opportunity with which they can influence the fate of the whole of Europe," explained Judit Varga in relation to the fact that the political weight of our country has increased significantly, also thanks to the fact that the Hungarian government can represent Hungarian interests in Brussels with a very serious democratic mandate. , for example also in migration policy. He emphasized that, according to the Hungarian point of view, border protection is the priority.
