XXIX will be held on Sunday with the participation of 1,470 delegates. István Hollik, Fidesz's head of communications, told Magyar Nemzet that Fidesz will hold its renewal congress, adding that delegates will come from more than seven hundred settlements. Furthermore, the politician said that six hundred invited guests will be present at the congress, including diplomats, scientists, artists and athletes. The event will be hosted by Member of Parliament Zsófia Koncz and State Secretary Róbert Zsigó.

As it turned out, among the members of the government, Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mihály Varga, Minister of Finance, Judit Varga, Minister of Justice, and Katalin Novák, Minister without portfolio responsible for families, will speak. In addition to them, Csaba Dömötör, State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office, Tamás Deutsch, EP representative of the party, Szilárd Németh, State Secretary of the Ministry of National Defense and Alpár Gyopáros, Government Commissioner of the Hungarian Village Program will also speak at the event. The congress is expected to last from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., where they will vote on the position of party president, for which there is only one candidate in the person of Viktor Orbán, who was last elected unanimously by the delegates two years ago.

According to the party's traditions, a politician of ministerial rank cannot hold the position of vice-president for a long time, so a new vice-president is now being elected instead of Katalin Novák. Zsófia Koncz, Member of Parliament elected in last year's by-elections in Szerencs, Eszter Vitályos, State Secretary responsible for EU developments at the Ministry of Human Resources, Kinga Gál, Member of the European Parliament, and Government Spokesperson Alexandra Szentkirályi may also apply for this position.

István Hollik said: it is not mandatory to use a mask at the event, but it is necessary to have a vaccination certificate. He emphasized that all the delegates participating in the congress, as well as the invited guests, are vaccinated.
