If it were up to the Gyurcsány-Márki-Zay left, there would be no pension premium or utility reduction, Fidesz stated on Friday.

The ruling party stated: The Gyurcsánys did not help the elderly even in a crisis, but took away one month's pension, tripled the price of gas and doubled the price of electricity, and wanted to make them pay for visiting fees and daily hospital fees. Since the Fidesz-KDNP government, the elderly have been helped by utility reductions, they pay the lowest energy prices in Europe and they also benefit from economic growth: they receive a pension premium of eighty thousand forints and the 13th monthly pension is restored - they concluded.

Political scientist Bálint Rotyis on public television - in connection with the fact that the left-wing oligarch László Bige signed up as a supporter of Prime Minister candidate Péter Márki-Zay and said that he would give him as much money as he asked for - stated:

Péter Márki-Zay may face a crisis of credibility due to the acceptance of the financial donation. According to the analyst of the Nézőpont Institute, the left is campaigning in favor of transparency, predictability, and purity, which may shake its foundations. The prosecutor's office charged László Bige with suspicion of bribery and embezzlement, and the Economic Competition Authority fined the oligarch's company, known as the fertilizer king, eleven billion forints for cartel violations, reminded Bálin Rotyis.

He pointed out: in the current situation, it can therefore be assumed that the price of László Bige's support may be that the judiciary does not sanction cases that are unpleasant for the supporter in the event of a possible change of government. According to the political scientist, this is worrisome because it suggests to society that the justice system can be bought, otherwise it is in stark contrast to the message of left-wing politics, and calls into question transparency and purity.
