On Wednesday evening, the European Parliament debated the situation of the rule of law in Slovenia. Balázs Hidvéghi, the Fidesz EP representative, emphasized in his speech that concern for the rule of law is only a disguise.

It is simply that the left-wing majority of the European Parliament, with the assistance of the European Commission, attacks all right-wing governments. In the European Parliament on Wednesday evening, the Slovenian rule of law, or the appointment of the Slovenian members of the European Public Prosecutor's Office was on the agenda.

In his speech, Balázs Hidvéghi said that the left has been cooking from the same recipe for a long time: "Let's take a successful right-wing government, invent completely baseless accusations, dress it up in legal garb, and then put it on the agenda as a rule of law problem."

He pointed out: the real problem of the left with Hungary, Poland, or now Slovenia, is that, unlike Western Europe, there is no complete left-liberal predominance in the public discourse in these places. "In these countries, people can have real discussions without being restricted by the taboos of exaggerated political correctness," added the representative.

The Fidesz politician said that it is completely irrelevant how many so-called "fact-finding" commissions come to these countries." Fortunately, governments can be decided by the people themselves, completely freely, and not by you," Balázs Hidvéghi concluded his speech to the European Parliament.
