In addition to Gyula Gansperger, the capital's "sharks" also worked hard on other channels in order to pass the City Hall building as soon as possible. The documents in our possession, including numerous e-mails and Viber messages, testify that, in addition to Balázs Barts, the CEO of the capital asset management company, Zsolt Berki, who operates without any official position, also took steps towards several well-known business circles in Hungary with the City Hall project and in connection with several other properties in Budapest.
Based on the testimony of the letters, Berki did not care much about appearances, often the antecedents were also included in the consignments, so essentially the entire chain can be clearly identified, i.e. it is easy to deduce who the potential targets of the sale could be.
There was even an example where the letter was the forwarding of an e-mail previously sent to another business circle. But before we go any further, we need to clarify who Zsolt Berki actually is. For this, we have to go back more than a decade ago, to the period of the socialist government.
Zsolt Berki's brother, József Berki, worked alongside the late MSZP minister Péter Kiss. This can be dated to the period when Péter Kiss' head of the secretariat Ambrus Kiss was the current deputy mayor. In other words, the left-wing embeddedness of the Berki family cannot really be questioned.
By the way, according to several e-mails, the Berki brothers are still closely coordinating their tasks, and several e-mails prove that they receive sensitive internal information directly from an employee of the capital asset management company led by Balázs Barts, real estate developer F. Ildikó.
According to the correspondence in the possession of the Mediaworks News Center, Zsolt Berki first passed the information on the properties that were about to be sold to his brother, and then József Berki passed them on to his acquaintances, whom he assumed could come into contact with real big fish. This is how the offer reached Riccardo Salvatore, representing Italian investor circles.
The documents sent to the Italians refer to two properties in the capital. One is the City Hall itself, and the other is the XI. District Rimaszombati út 2–4. You could hear a lot about the former in the past period, and about the latter, it is worth knowing that it is the land between Budaörsi út and Koszorúslány utca, with a total area of 29,560 square meters. According to the presentation material, the
A plot of this size in a prime commercial environment in Budapest - next to the Budapest One office building, a few minutes from Kelenföld railway station and Etele Plaza, near several hypermarkets and supermarkets, as well as logistics centers at the entrance to the M1-M7 - is considered a real curiosity.
From the exchange of messages, it is quite clear that Riccardo Salvatore devoted more energy to the City Hall project, who gave some of his confidants the parameters, characteristics and future utilization of the existing building. According to his information, the price of the property is eighty billion forints, of which, according to the already well-known City Hall slang, the "commission" is two billion forints. In this case, commission should be understood as the amount that the persons involved in the corruption transaction, the decision-makers, receive after the transaction has been completed. It is a significant circumstance that Salvatore insisted that the participants in the transaction sign a confidentiality statement. To help with this, he also said that this document should be signed at the Law Office of Dr. Tímea Králik. Attaching the lawyer's contact information, he repeatedly emphasized the importance of the statement. The tomorrow of the law firm clearly shows that it is mainly skilled in real estate, construction law and international real estate matters.
Tímea Králik, when asked by the Mediaworks News Center whether she had signed non-disclosure agreements in connection with the real estate sales of the Capital City Municipality, said that there was talk of being approached with such a project, but she did not accept the assignment.
He emphasized: he did not assist in such matters, nor did he enter into contracts. The lawyer said he was approached through real estate agents, presumably because of his good professional reputation. He stated that he has no political connections, he does not know any of the leaders of the capital, and to our separate question he answered that he does not know Zsolt Berki either.
According to the documents received by the Mediaworks News Center, most of the letters are dated October this year, at which time everything seemed to be in order regarding the planned sale of the City Hall. This state of grace is believed to have changed after Index reported on November 4 that the patina building would be sold. After the article, of course Mayor Gergely Karácsony and of course all members of his staff vehemently denied the deal taking place in the background. Fake news, lackey media, fake news! - shouted the people involved. At that time, an assignment contract was found, which the above-mentioned Zsolt Berki's company concluded with a real estate agent ltd. for the sale of the Town Hall. Gergely Karácsony tried to downplay the agreement, which they classified as just a cheese paper. "We don't know any Zsolt Berki," said the mayor. - After that, however, Anonymus appeared, who started sending left-wing and right-wing editorials audio recordings of the discussions about the sale of the City Hall. The jumbled mosaics fell into place nicely.
In this situation, on November 18, Riccardo Salvatore asked the people connected with him to delete all messages and documents related to the City Hall. "The sooner the better," he stressed. We tried to reach Riccardo Salvatore, but we did not manage to get in touch with the businessman, he regularly hung up his mobile phone when we called.
However, the "cleaning" ordered by Salvatore was probably necessary because more and more details were revealed about the fact that a well-defined circle operates a corruption system at the Metropolitan Municipality.
According to the evidence of the audio recordings that have been made public, during the business negotiations - which took place with a representative of the influential Russian Rahimkulov family - there was undisguised talk about sharks moving around coalition parties, ten percent "commissions", and about who exactly benefits from the black money to be paid for real estate transactions. In several audio recordings, it was said that the Berki family, which delivered the e-mails, was "in the party". According to Gyula Gansperger, in addition to Zsolt Berki, Karácsony's deputy, Ambrus Kiss, also benefits from the "commissions", while Csaba Tordai "doesn't make money", but has an important role in the system, as every single contract and real estate transaction goes under his hands, "he sees to it". those. By the way, Csaba Tordai is the mayor's chief legal advisor, and previously also acted as the state secretary of the Bajnai government.
It is not yet known what kind of audio material Anonymus will use to cause surprises in the future, but it is a fact that many criminal reports have already been filed in connection with publicized real estate cases. The police are investigating an unknown perpetrator or perpetrators for influence peddling, fraud, misappropriation, bribery, and acceptance of bribes.
